IGLTA and the IGLTA Foundation both offer Internship opportunities during both the Fall and Spring Terms as well as the Summer. The exact dates may change due to scheduling conflicts, actual school terms, graduation, etc, but here are the general time frames:
Fall: The beginning of September to the beginning of the Christmas break
Spring: Mid-January to mid-May*
Summer: Mid-May to end of August
*The IGLTA Convention Internship is ONLY offered during this term and the end date is dependant upon the date of our Annual Global Convention.

Position DescriptionIGLTA is looking for a qualified individual for a temporary internship at our headquarters office. The headquarters team is responsible for coordinating all strategies and outreach to help our business partners and members connect with LGBTQ+ Travelers. This includes the staging of an Annual Global Convention. We’re looking for an intern who can participate in various stages of this development and execution. Compensation for the position is based upon a 40-hour work week, Monday-Friday, at $10 per hour. (Preferred: Candidate able to travel to the Annual Global Convention) Intern term from Mid-January, to Mid-May, depending upon Convention dates.
This intern should be prepared to work in a casual but fast-paced and innovative team environment and will finish the internship having gained broad experience in various aspects of the tourism industry, with a focus on LGBTQ+ international travel.
